Amanda provided expert coaching during a key period in my career as I transitioned between roles. Her style enabled me to really connect mindfully with how I adapted my approach to leadership. Each session was thought provoking and very useful.

Chief Executive Officer, giffgaff

I did the VIP Day with Amanda at a time of life and career transition. It felt to me like the equivalent of a year’s coaching in one day. I was able to work at a much deeper level than I have previously been able to with weekly or monthly coaching, and it cut through any procrastination or uncertainty. I was astonished by the clarity, insight and resolution that I was able to arrive at on the day, and in the time that followed.

Amanda is an extraordinarily skilled coach, experienced facilitator and guide. Her compassion, humour and practicality made it possible for me to make decisions about new directions with confidence and ease.

Chief Executive Officer, Peacebeam

“I believe that in a world in turmoil it’s more important and more difficult than ever to stay steady and make wise choices. If you lose your way, so does the business you’re leading. That’s why I created the VIP Day to help busy leaders dedicate space and time for re-centering and thinking through the important questions and decisions that are all too easy to put off.”

About Amanda

A former chartered accountant and mergers & acquisitions advisor at KPMG, I know the pressures of the business world, and the challenges of staying steady, making wise decisions and thriving. Retraining as a coach in 2002 was a turning point, and paved the way for me to found my own business and do what I love. I now specialise in helping busy leaders and entrepreurs bring stability and insight into their choices and actions.

I’ve worked in a wide range of industry sectors, including Accenture, Barclays, Civil Service, Grant Thornton, GSK, Harrods, JP Morgan, Norton Rose Fulbright and O2, facilitating 1000s of change and leadership masterclasses, and coaching 100s of leaders privately, or through their organisations.

To serve my clients with the presence, skills, and tools needed for transformation, I’ve invested more than 20 years, and 10s of 1000s of pounds in continuing professional and personal development. I’ve written many published articles about change, leadership, and flourishing, and spoken at several professional networking events. My first published book The Stability Effect was published in January 2024.

I have worked with Amanda on various times over the last 10 years. Her insightful approach to coaching has always been a great help.

Jasper Hanebuth

Treasurer, Barclays Europe

Amanda worked with us to help create a cultural change in the way we develop our people. Her approach involved gathering data from key stakeholders and designing and facilitating workshops where we agreed the changes we wanted and identified how we might go about achieving our ambitions. Her vast experience of working within professional service firms and her talent for combining theory with practicality added significant value to us. Working with Amanda has made a positive impact within our business.

Ian Smart

Partner, Grant Thornton

“With The Stability Effect, you become a leader who can work with change to realise leadership potential in yourself, your team and your organisation.”

Amanda Muckalt, Founder Centre For New Leadership

I went to Amanda for executive coaching when I was taking on a new role. The reason that I chose Amanda is because of her excellent grasp of both the "hard" side of business (finance, etc) and the "soft" side (people, emotions, etc).
Cate Newnes-Smith

CEO, Surrey Youth Focus

I found a deep sense of confidence that I have been missing for some time. I feel energised and have some new tools to utilise and reflect on that will help me to stay in this incredibly positive place. I think it is a monumental achievement for Amanda to help me to get to that point during a global pandemic and unprecedented uncertainty in my life and the world around me. It has resulted in one of the best transitions to a new role I have ever had.
